(5) Copy capability and ambient temperature for printing
Copying capability is considerably affected by the ambient temperature.
Therefore printing shall be performed within the followingtemperature
range.
Number of copies
Temperature
Or 1, 2 copies 5
°C
to 40 °C
(6) Notes on slip paper
• Slip paper should be flat, with no curling, wrinkles, or camber
(especially no curl at the edges). Otherwise, it may rub against
the ribbon and become dirty.
• When using multiple carbon copy slip paper, it should be flat and
the area of the glued portion should be as small as possible.
• Gluing should be at the top or left side of the slip paper.
• Since TOF and BOF are optical detectors, paper having holes at
the detector positions or translucent paper should not normally be
used. When using these papers, be sure to disable the paper
detectors (by command
ESC c4 ).
