Description
Sets horizontal tab positions.
• "n" specifies the column number for setting a horizontal
tab position. [n = (Column number) - 1].
For example, when a tab is set at column 9,
n = 8.
• "k" indicates the total number of horizontal tab positions to
be set.

• The horizonal tab position is stored as an absolute value
of (character width

measured from the beginning of
a line. The character width includes the character right-side
spacing, and double-width characters should be set with
twice the width of normal characters.
• Set
<n>k
in ascending order and place a NUL code <00>H
at the end.
• ESC D NUL clears all tabs. Any HT commands received
after clearing are ingnored.
• When a data value
<n>k is
less than or equal to the preceding
value

1, the setting is considered to be finished.
In this case, the following data is processed as normal data.
• Up to 32 tab positions can be set. Data which exceeds
32 tab positions will be processed as normal data.
• When a data value

characters printable on one line, the tab position is set as
“n” = Maximum printing column 1”.
• Horizontal tab positions remain unchanged if the character
widths are changed after setting the horizontal tab positions.
