Cleaning pressure rollers
If you keep using the pressure rollers when they are
soiled with ink mist, the print outs will be soiled.
If the rollers are dirty, follow the steps below to clean
them.

Make sure the printer is turned off and the screen
has turned off, and then unplug the power cable
from the outlet.
Disconnect both of the power cables.
If the additional print drying system is installed,
make sure you unplug the power cable for the
additional print drying system as well.

Leave the printer for a minute.

Open the front cover.

Raise the media loading lever.
E
Wrap a soft cloth that has been soaked in water
and squeezed well around the tip of your finger as
shown in the illustration.

Use the cloth to wipe the sides of the pressure
rollers that have become soiled.

Important:
When wiping, make sure the cloth or your
finger does not touch the rod B shown in the
illustration.
If the cloth or your finger touch the rod, an
error could occur during printing.
Applying Grease to the
Carriage Rod
When
Apply secondary carriage rod grease. See
manual.
is displayed on the control panel screen, follow
the steps below to apply grease to the carriage rod as
soon as possible.
Location of Carriage Rod and
Used Pad
There are two carriage rods, rod A and rod B. Apply
grease to both rods using the grease kit supplied with the
printer.
The grease application tool varies depending on the rod
as shown below.
