Cleaning the Front Cover
When drying ink using the after heater, steam is
generated which may form water droplets on the front
cover. These droplets of water may drip and stain the
media. Wipe off any water droplets or dirt that has
adhered to the front cover with a soft cloth that has been
soaked in water and squeezed well.
Before starting this procedure, be sure to read the
following:

Remove media from the printer.

Make sure the printer is turned off and the screen
has turned off, and then unplug the power cable
from the outlet.
Leave the printer for a minute.

Wipe off water droplets or dirt that has adhered
to the surface of the front cover with a soft cloth
that has been soaked in water and squeezed well.

Open the front cover.
E
Wipe off water droplets or dirt that has adhered
to the bottom of the front cover with a soft cloth
that has been soaked in water and squeezed well.
F
After cleaning, close the front cover.
Cleaning the Heat Shield
When ink adheres to the heat shield, remove the heat
shield and clean it.
