9. Adjust the top-of-form position (the position where the printer
will start printing) if necessary. The printer will start printing
from the current position without advancing the paper. See
“Adjusting the Top-of-Form Position” on page 3-30.
10. Install the printer cover. Make sure that the paper guide is
installed and lying flat on the printer, and that the continuous
paper support is in the upright position.
11. Send a print job to the printer. The printer starts printing from
the current position without advancing paper.
12. After you finish printing, tear off the printed document at the
perforation nearest the paper exit slot.
Printing on Roll Paper
The optional roll paper holder (#8310) allows you to use
8.5-inch roll paper like that used with telex machines. This
provides an inexpensive alternative to using continuous paper
for applications requiring variable paper lengths. Before you
install and use the roll paper holder, you need to assemble it.
