Disassembly and Assembly

ESPON FX-880/FX-1180 Service Manual

Ribbon Drive Removal

1.  Remove the printer mechanism (see page 3-17).

2.  Remove the platen (see page 3-15).

3.  Remove the hexagon nut and the washer securing the adjust lever to the CR guide shaft, then remove

the lever.

4.  Remove the parallel adjustment bushing from the CR guide shaft. (see page 3-28)

5.  Remove the PG sensor cable (see page 3-24).

6.  Remove the HP sensor cable from the left frame.

7.  Remove the 4 CBS (M3 × 8) screws securing the left frame, then remove the left frame.

8.  Remove the CBC (M3 × 8) screw and the CBB (3 × 8) screw securing the ribbon drive.

9.  Release the ribbon drive from the roller drive, then remove the ribbon drive.
