EPSON FX-880/FX-1180 Service Manual

START

Is the AC power line 

voltage normal?

Has fuse F1 on the 

power supply board 

blown out?

Disconnect the power cable 

from CN3 on the C229 

MAIN board, and measure 

the +35 volt line at pin 7 or 8 

of CN2, and the +5 volt line 

at pin 3 or 4.

Is the output 

voltage of the 

power supply 

normal?

Check resistance of 

printhead solenoids 

and PF and CR motors.  
If abnormal, replace the 

defective unit.

Use only normal 

input voltage.

Replace the fuse.

Does the fuse 

blow again?

Replace the power
