Problems Using Stapler/Stacker Unit

Cannot staple

Pressing the 

Start/Stop

 button will print the rest of the print job without stapling. To continue

stapling, check the following points.

Cause

What to do

There are only a few staples left.

Replace the staple cartridge. See the label on the 1000-Sheet
Stapler/Stacker Unit for instructions.

There may be a problem with the staples.

Remove the staple cartridge to see if there is any problem with it,
and then reinstall it.

You may not be using the correct paper for stapling.

Use paper which is compatible for stapling. For details about the
available paper types, see “1100-Sheet Paper Cassette Unit” on
page 207.

Staple Jam

Follow the instructions below to remove the jammed staples.
