DOPS / DAPS System, combined function outputs
All contacts are shown in their initial state, i.e. all relays are not activated. This is related to
status
“Open circuit mode”
and
“No alarm condition”
The alarm condition may be defined on property sheet “Limit setting” as well as the open cir-
cuit or closed circuit mode of the outputs.
Open circuit mode:
The relay is in the initial state and will be activated as soon as the programmed condition is
met.
Example:
GW n > 90%
or
OUT1: GW = +0.25 mm
The relay remains in the initial state, as long as the speed is below 90% (DOPS) or the shaft
expansion < 0.25mm (DAPS). By exceeding these values, the condition is met and the relay
will be activated.
Closed circuit mode
The relay of this output is activated and will be switched off when the programmed alarm
condition is met.
Example:
Trip > 110%
or
Trip: GW = +0.75 mm
As long as the speed is below 110% (DOPS) or the shaft expansion < 0.75 mm (DAPS), the
condition is not met and the relay remains activated. By exceeding these values, the condi-
tion is met and the relay will be deactivated.
