INSTALLATION AND START OF THE CONFIGURATION PROGRAM
2.1
Prerequisites
If not ordered otherwise by the customer, upon delivery the
MMS 6000
modules are config-
ured with standard parameters. The required settings for the customer application must be
chosen and loaded with the help of the configuration software.
The DOPS/DAPS operating kit contains a CDROM with the configuration software to be in-
stalled on a computer. With this configuration software, the parameter setting for the
MMS
6250
or
MMS 6350
modules can be created or loaded from existing files.
Configuration of DOPS/DAPS modules can be made in two ways:
1. The PC (laptop) is not connected to a module. The configuration for one or several
DOPS/DAPS modules is edited on the PC with the help of the configuration software and
stored in one or more files. At any time later, with a communication between computer and
module, the PC files with the configuration parameters are then loaded into the modules.
2. The PC (laptop) has a connection to a
MMS 6350
module, the configuration is made/edited
on the PC and transferred immediately to the module.
