The electrical and gas line conduit can run
stright up the pole from the floor below.
Alternatively you could run them through
the channel at the rear of the pedestal
base (see Figure 87).

In addition to the previous modifications in this section, the wood pedestal has a cutout for the rocker
switches to provide easier access. Disconnect the rocker switch mount from the firebox as shown in Fig-
ure 94. There is a rectangular hole on top side of the wood pedestal near the front that the rocker switch
mount will fit into. Remount the switch panel on the pedestal tray using 5/16” hex head screws provided
(see Figure 95).

The wood pedestal has a knockout located at the top of its back wall that will allow the gas and electri-
cal connection to pass through. This knockout allows access to the hollow back wall of the pedestal, which
then leads to two (2) openings at the back of the pedestal (see Figure 96).
