eSmart Alarms
The ECO603 has alarm inputs for connecting different types of alarm systems. The device has fixed burglar
(premises and boundary protection), humidity, fire, and power failure alarm loops. It also has a general
alarm input available for e.g. a heating residual current protection circuit or a level alarm for wastewater
treatment systems. eSmart is equipped with inside and outside temperature sensors for monitoring the
internal and external temperatures of the building.
NOTE! The alarms are disabled by default.
The transfer of alarms depends on whether the device is in
Home, Safe at home, Away
, or
Away long
mode. Only an active mode facilitates alarm transfer. Alarms and modes are mutually dependent, as indi-
cated in the table below:

All alarm inputs are normally closed i.e. the alarm is triggered when the
loop is opened. When an alarm is triggered, the operating panel displays
an alarm window describing the last active alarm in the
Home
and
Safe at
home
modes. A text message is sent to each confirmed number in the user
catalogue each time an alarm is triggered. Only one text message is sent
when the alarm loop is opened, even if the sensor connected to the loop
reactivates.
Only the fire, boundary and burglar alarms activate the siren. The relay is
activated when the fire or burglar alarm is triggered. When the alarms are
acknowledged, or when they are not acknowledged within five minutes of
the last alarm being triggered, the relay is deactivated and the siren turns
off. All fire detectors connected to the system must have back-up power
supplies and the detector itself must provide a warning sound.
The power cut alarm has a four-minute delay time, to prevent the alarm
being triggered due to brief power failures. After a power cut it takes one
minute before the system reacts to the general, humidity, burglar (presence
and boundary) and fire alarms. A temperature alarm is triggered when the
measured temperature drops below the specified limit. The device sends a
text message notification when the temperature rises above the specified
limit.
An alarm must always be acknowledged, in order to enable the alarm's
reactivation in the future. Acknowledgement can be performed either
using a text message command, the operating panel, or the local button.
The alarm list is opened by tapping the alarm window in the
Home
and
Safe at home
modes. The operating panel alarm sound ends when the
alarm list is opened.
