Customizing the Hot keys:
Other applications on your PC may already be as-
signed to the same Hot Keys listed above, causing a
conflict. If needed, the Hot Keys can be customized
or re-assigned using the following procedure:
1) Using your mouse, right-click on the small “EV”
Viewer icon, located in the lower-right hand corner
of the Widows* system tray (near the clock).
2) Select “Hot Keys...” from the popup menu
3) Modify the hot key assignment for each function as
desired.
4) Click “OK” to save the settings and exit.
High-resolution vs. Standard viewing modes:
From factory default, the viewer application is set
to high-resolution (photo) viewing mode. This mode
gives the best resolution for focusing an a “fixed”
image, such as a photo, single sheet of paper, or a
distant object. In this mode, maximum image clarity
is achieved by using a progressive, non-interlaced
method of image scanning.
When using the viewer application to view objects in
motion, such as when scanning text “line by line” or
when reading at higher magnification levels, changing
the viewing mode to standard resolution may
significantly improve image quality. This will increase
the perceived sharpness of characters when reading
printed text, allowing the camera to focus more
quickly on each word. In this mode, maximum image
clarity is achieved by using an interlaced method of
image scanning.
Changing the viewing mode:
1) Using your mouse, right-click on the small “EV”
Viewer icon, located in the lower-right hand corner
of the Widows* system tray (near the clock).
2) Select or Deselect “High Resolution Photo
Mode” from the pop-up menu, depending on the
application described above.
3) Select “Exit” to save the setting you’ve chosen.
