1.3 System Description

 

During operation, the EBC 30 maintains a constant negative pressure in the vertical common vent and    

 

fireplace connectors.  When the ADM opens to its preset, open position and the pilot is lit, the burner 

 

 

receives a signal to release the gas valve.  The XTP senses the change in pressure and the EBC30 speeds  

 

up the chimney fan until the draft set-point is satisfied.  The speed of the fan modulates and varies  

 

 

depending on the number of fireplaces in operation.  The fan is sized based on the amount of draft needed  

 

when all fireplaces are burning (worst-case scenario).
