Orientation
The direction of the arrow on the sensor nameplate helps you to install the sensor according to the
flow direction (direction of medium flow through the piping).

1)
Applications with low process temperatures may reduce the ambient temperature. To maintain the
minimum ambient temperature for the transmitter, this orientation is recommended.
2)
Applications with high process temperatures may increase the ambient temperature. To maintain the
maximum ambient temperature for the transmitter, this orientation is recommended.
Inlet and outlet runs
No special precautions need to be taken for fittings which create turbulence, such as valves, elbows
or T-pieces, as long as no cavitation occurs (→ 49).
Special mounting
instructions
Guarantees complete drainability
When the sensor is installed in a horizontal line, eccentric clamps can be used to ensure complete
drainability. When the system is pitched in a specific direction and at a specific slope, gravity can be
used to achieve complete drainability. The sensor must be mounted in the correct position to ensure
full drainability in the horizontal position. Markings on the sensor show the correct mounting
position to optimize drainability.
