6 Operation
6.1 Key
assignment
The instrument is operated using the keypad on the front or using a PC connected to the serial
interface.
In local operating mode, you can move through the menu using the arrow keys '
↓↓↓↓
‘ and '
↑↑↑↑
‘. Select the
required option by pressing 'E’.

Within a submenu, you can increment or decrement numeric values by holding down the '

Note:
•
Whenever you press the E key, the display notes the change you make and returns to the previous
menu level. Keep pressing the Enter key until you reach the required menu level.
•
If you press no key within a period of two minutes, the system returns to DIGITAL mode.
•
Whilst you are in the menu system, no signals are processed. Changes you have already entered
only become active when you return to the data display.
6.2 Display
modes
The display can show three different information levels: DIGITAL, GRAPHIC and OVERVIEW. Use the
menus also to configure the system.
After switching on the instrument, there is an initialisation phase of approximately four minutes. During
this time, the display shows INITIALISATION. When initialisation is finished, the display shows
DIGITAL.
You can access the three display modes by pressing the
↑↑↑↑
and
↓↓↓↓
keys.
When you leave the menu settings, the screen goes back to the display you last used before entering
the menu settings function.
When several sensors are used with one transmitter, the selected graphic display jumps automatically
from sensor to sensor (Sensor 1, Sensor 2 etc.). You can choose the sequence speed using the option
DWELL TIME.
