Finally, the animated area with the joystick does not show actions when disabled.
DX CENTER BUTTONS MODE
The F18CGRH has hat switches in TRIM, Weapon Release, NWS, Sensor Control
(TMS), Recce (DMS), Weapon Select (CMS) and Trigger of double stage as you can
see in the image below. Each hat switch has 5 physical positions: up, right, down, left
and center.
In the image on the right, you can see the DX buttons assigned to each hat switch
position or combination thereof.
Each hat switch has its 5 physical positions as DX buttons positions more other 4 DX
buttons generated by the combination of press first center and after the up, down, right
or left position. So each hat has 9 DX buttons associated.
The
DX Button Centre
feature allows selecting the operation mode of the center
position of hat switches. The selection is made through a button with four options:
OFF
,
ON
,
COMP
and
DClick
.
In
OFF
mode, the center position of hat switches is disabled. As you can see in the
image below, all DX buttons related with center position of hats are removed (boxes in
grey) and when pressed, no DX button is activated.
That’s why this mode is also
named
Center removed
mode.
In
ON
mode, all center positions are enabled. This mode is also called
Native
mode
because all assigned combinations are available.
