taken to prevent thermal, electrical, or mechanical damage. Contacts should be protected
to prevent premature discharge.
CAUTION
Use caution when handling the power module, it may be damaged if dropped from
heights exceeding 6.10 m (20 ft).

Environmental
Verify the operating atmosphere of the transmitter is consistent with the appropriate
hazardous locations certification.
Temperature effects
The transmitter will operate within specifications for ambient temperatures between –40
and 85 °C (–40 and 185 °F).
Heat from the process is transferred to the transmitter housing. If the process
temperature is high, the ambient temperature will need to be lower to account for heat
transferred to the transmitter housing. See
