Maintenance Bypass Load Transfers—If Load is on UPS

Transfer the UPS system to bypass (see 2.4.2.1 - 

Load Transfer Procedures

).

Close the Maintenance Bypass Isolator (Q3). 

 

NOTE  

Failure to close the Maintenance Bypass Isolator (Q3) will interrupt power to the 
load.  

 

CAUTION

       

 

The load is not protected from normal supply aberrations when operating in the 

maintenance bypass mode.

Open the following isolators: Q1, Q2 and Q4. The UPS system is now isolated from the 
critical load and the load is now on Maintenance Bypass mode.
