2.3 Working theory
Induction cooking is a safe, advanced, efficient, and economical cooking technology. It works by electromagnetic vibrations
that generate heat directly in the pan, rather than indirectly by heating the glass surface. The glass becomes hot only be-
cause the pan eventually warms it up.
2.4 Before using your New Induction Hob
• Read this guide, taking special note of the ‘Safety Warnings’ section.
• Remove any protective film that may still be on your induction hob.

Saving energy
Follow the tips below to save energy when you cook.
• Do not boil more water than you need.
• Always fit a lid to pans (if possible).
• Place the pan on the heating zone before you turn it on.
• Place small pans on the smaller heating zones.
• Place the pan in the centre of the heating zone.
• Use the residual heat from the heating zone to keep food warm, etc.
