Replacing the Movable Cutting
Blade
A spare movable cutting blade is located in
the accessory box. Replace the blade when
it becomes dull or nicked.
Unplug the machine.
Open front cover.
Set the movable cutting blade in its engaged
position. Remove the movable cutting blade
by loosening the screw with the
screwdriver found in the accessory box.
Brush the fixed cutting blade and the
surrounding area to clean out any
accumulation of lint, etc.
Turn the flywheel to lower the movable
cutting blade holder to its lowest position.
At this position, put a new blade in place,
making sure that the edge of the blade
is approximately 0.5 to 1.0 mm below
the surface of the fixed cutting blade
Tighten the screw firmly.
NOTE:
The fixed cutting blade is made of a
special hard alloy and will not normally
have to be replaced.
Replacing the Light Bulb
Unplug the machine.
Raise the presser foot and remove
lamp cover.
Unscrew the bulb and replace with new 15
watt bulb.
Reattach the lamp cover.
