7.0 RECOMMENDATIONS ON INSTALLATION
• It is recommended that the cable are laid in with the greatest care, to prevent rain and moisture from
penetrating into the container.
• To lay the cable into the board protection covers, use the special core hitch provided (as illustrated in the
figure).
• Use the screened flame-proof cable – min. (2 x 0.75 + 4 x 0.22) mm² to (2 x 0.75 + 8 x 0.22) mm² –
depending on the signals transferred to the control panel.
• Prior to finally installing the supporting poles, it is recommended that an installation test shall be performed, in
order to find the optimum aligning position for most effective detection. Proceed as described below.
1)
Place the barrier pair in the middle of a clear area, observing the barrier positioning minimum distances and
the installation heights.
2)
Power the Transmitter and the Receiver by using two batteries, then position the transmitter and the receiver
in front of each other
.
3)
Verify the signal on the TP, then set it to 7.3 V
— .
4)
Move the two barriers to the right/left within a distance of 30-50 cm as well as upwards/downwards and, also,
verify the TP signal variations, so as to identify the point of maximum signal.
5)
Secure the brackets, after the optimum position has been found.
• When positioning and calibrating the Receiver, make sure that no large object is found within the sensitive
area, which will subsequently be removed or displaced during the system's normal operation (e.g. cars, trucks,
etc.). Otherwise, the calibration may be affected adversely to a large extent.
The fastening
bracket is set for
installation on a
supporting tube
featuring an outer
diameter of 40
mm.
The guides feature two nicks for signalling
the maximum inclination.
The two guides on the sides of the fastening
bracket allow you to adjust the inclination
(max. 5° upwards and 5° downwards) both
in the transmitter and the receiver.
