2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The dual-optics infrared perimeter barrier is composed of a receiver and an infrared beam transmitter.
Its functioning is based on “AND” and “OR” logical operations, which can be selected via a dip switch. When the
AND
option is selected, the alarm is only activated by the simultaneous interruption of two adjacent beams. With
the
OR
option, the interruption of a single beam is sufficient to trigger the alarm.
The ideal use of the barrier is for perimeter protection of internal and external areas. The main features include:
A selection of two response times, to adapt to the characteristics of the site to be protected;
Horizontal adjustment of the protection beam angle when the (optional) rotating pivot is used;
A
TAMPER
contact that signals opening of the barrier.
VIEW FROM ABOVE
The barriers feature two components that send each other infrared beams (one emitting and once receiving,
depending on the perimeter to be protected), thus creating a kind of barrier invisible to the human eye.
ALARM
An active infrared barrier can contain several transmitting and receiving levels inside specific columns. The infrared
barriers have multiple controls that considerably reduce false alarms.
