
14.4 G/S - Glide Slope - Capture and tracking of an ILS Glide Slpe Beam
Normal prior conditions are:
• AP pitch channel “ON”
• CPL
“ON”
• F/D “ON” if desired
• Radio-altimeter signal valid, DH set on indicator
• NAV receiver tuned on ILS frequency
• Glideslope signal valid
• HSI course pointer set to the published inboud runway heading
Operation of this mode (generally combined with tge V/L mode) can be broken down into 4
phases:
• Clsoing
up
• Glide-slope beam capture
• Glide-slope beam tracking
• Auto-level
