Shield gas/compressed air connection
OBLIGATION!: This operation can only be performed by the dealer / authorized installation technician!
MS 3.5 can be set up for use with a shield gas (argon), an ideal choice when welding materials such as titanium, to protect the material
from oxidation and improve welding quality.
The machine features the following elements (Fig. 6-11):
•
An articulated nozzle, for dispensing the gas within the welding chamber.
The rear of the machine features specific quick connections (Fig. 6-12) for the shield gas (for example, via tanks
–
not supplied with
the machine, to be procured by the client / user).

WARNING!:
•
All operations to connect the shield gas and compressed air supplies must be performed in the absence of pressure in the
pressurized air circuit;
•
The input shield gas must have a maximum pressure of 1,5 bar and a continuous flow rate of 2,4 l/min;
•
All tubes connected to the machine must be capable of withstanding operating pressure levels;
•
Supply tubes located outside the machine must be subjected to regular checks for wear or damage;
•
The supply tubes must never be compressed or crushed. Place these tubes in a position that ensures no operators will tread
or trip on them.
WARNING!:
•
The gas contained in the tanks is pressurized, so the tanks can explode if not handled with care;
•
Protect the tank from excessive heat or impact;
