Measurement consultation
When consulting a
VEMP
, the following window appears and is a way of processing the curves. The initial purpose
of a
VEMP
is to locate typical waves emitted by the sacculo-collic reflexes, that is, waves P13, N23, P30, N34 and P44.
The presence or absence of these waves and their time-related positioning will make it possible to detect the various
pathologies.
For this purpose, the device offers many tools:
•
At the top of the screen, there are buttons relative to each marker. Click on one of the buttons to move the corre-
sponding marker over the curves. To guide positioning, "normality" zones are grayed out and the marker is posi-
tioned by simply clicking on the curve.
•
At the bottom right there is a button to adjust the timescale of the curves making it possible to display 30 ms or 60
ms (corresponding to the time elapsing after the stimulation click).
•
At the bottom left, it is possible to select whether both ears are to be displayed at the same time or not.
•
Finally, the "+" and "-" buttons are used to scroll through the various recorded power levels.
The «
->
» button at the top right fives access to another
toolbar.
The impedance is displayed to verify that the electrode placed on the sterno-cleido-mastoid muscle of the
other ear is correctly in place.
