Before any intervention it is essential to cut off all supply of the machine
(electricity, steam, water, gas, compressed air...).
Repair
electrode set e1/e2/e3 :
Setting
- Adjust the electrode to 2 mm compared to the ceramic plates like opposite.
pressostat gas B4 :
Checking
- Check the wiring.
- Check the rotation direction of fan turbine.
- Check that the air and gas evacuation are clean.
- Switch ON the machine, with a multi-meter check the current value of the pressostat.
If the value is different from 0, it means that the pressostat is faulty.
Replacing
- Remove the left side frame.
- Disconnect the wires.
- Remove the faulty pressostat, and replace.
- Refit the parts in the reverse sequence.
Setting:
1. Stop the machine and remove the left side frame.
2. Disconnect the electrical wiring of the pressostat.
3. Bypass connecting a liquid column manometer on the pressostat (Fig. 1).
4. Connect an Ohm-meter or ind power supply on NC and COM terminals of the
pressostat (Fig. 2).
5. Turn on the machine.
6. Block the exhaust gas outlet (Fig. 3) to obtain a depression value according the type of
machine (see table, page 11) on the manometer (Fig. 1).
Example:
for a IC4 4832, the pressostat is set to 5 mmH2O.
7. Turn to the right or left the setting screw of the pressostat so that the indicator is lit (Fig. 2).
8. Adjust the pressostat (Fig. 1) to the value of switching, ie the value at which the indicator
switches from ON to OFF and vice versa.
9. Vary the exhaust gas outlet in order to check the operation of the pressostat.
Example: for a IC4 4832, the pressostat is set to 5 mmH2O.
- Depression > 5 mmH2O :
Pressostat closed = Indicator on
- Depression = or < 5 mmH2O :
Pressostat open = Indicator off
