Important warnings
The P2.xxx L-Z/LMO burners are designed
for burning with low emissions of pollutants
derived from EL heating oil, on the basis of
the following local regulations:
AT: ÖNORM C1109: standard and with
low sulphur content
BE: NBN T52.716: standard and NBN
EN590: with low sulphur content
CH: SN 181160-2 : EL heating oil and
biodiesel with low sulphur content.
DE: DIN 51603-1: standard and with low
sulphur content.
Moreover, their structure and operation
conform to the EN267 standard. They are
suitable for equipping all heat generators
complying with the EN303 standard and/or
air heaters conforming to DIN 4794 or DIN
30697 specifications compatibly with their
power range. For every other use, authorisa-
tion from ELCO is required. Assembly and
initial start-up must be carried out exclusi-
vely by authorised technical personnel, in
compliance with the applicable directives
and provisions.
Burner description
The P2.xxx L-Z/LMO burners are fully
automatic, single-stage burners with single-
body design. The special design of the
combustion head with internal flue gas
recirculation ensures combustion with low
emissions of hazardous substances and a
high degree of efficiency. Tests conducted
according to the EN267 standard
demonstrate that the values comply with the
stringent Class 3 emission category and with
the requirements of the following national
environmental regulations:
AT: KFA 1995, FAV 1997
CH: OIAt 2005
DE: 1.BImSChV
Different emission values can be obtained
depending on the shape of the combustion
chamber, its load capacity and the
combustion system (three-way smoke boiler,
inverted flame boiler). For warranty
purposes, the conditions relating to the
measurement device, tolerances, air
humidity and nitrogen content in the heating
oil must be observed.
In order to guarantee safe, non-polluting and
energy-saving operation, the following
standards must be observed:
DIN 4755
Light oil control programmers on heating
systems.
EN 226
Connection of nebulising light oil burners
and blown air gas burners to heat
generators.
EN 60335-2
Safety electrical devices for domestic use.
Installation site
The burner must not be operated in rooms
containing aggressive vapours (e.g. hair
spray, perchloroethylene, carbon
tetrachloride), substantial amount of dust or
high levels of air humidity (e.g. laundry
rooms). A ventilation opening must be
present, with the following features:
DE: up to 50 kW: 150 cm
2
for every
successive kW: + 2.0 cm
2
.
CH: QF [kW] x 6= ...cm
2
; min. 200 cm
2
.
Discrepancies may occur due to municipal
regulations.
The company shall not be held liable for
any damages deriving from the following
causes:
- non-conforming use;
- defective assembly and/or repair by the
purchaser or third parties, including the
application of non-original elements.
Delivery and operating instructions
The manufacturer of the combustion plant
must hand over the operating and
maintenance instructions to the plant
manager, at the latest during delivery of the
plant itself. These instructions must be
displayed in a visible manner in the site
where the heat generator is installed. The
address and telephone number of the
nearest technical assistance centre must
also be indicated.
Warnings for the manager
The plant must be checked at least once a
year by a specialised technician. In order to
ensure regular checks, it is advisable to
stipulate a contract for the maintenance of
the plant.
