Please read these operating instructions carefully
and pay particular attention to the instructions
contained within it. Use this information to get to
know the device, its correct operation and safety
regulations before using for the first time.
1. Important instructions!
Check the device for damage each time before
use.
Only ever use the supply voltage specified
(230V ~50Hz).
Protect the battery charger and the cable from
damage and sharp edges. The cable should be
replaced without delay by an authorized
electrician if damaged.
Never use the lamp in areas where vapor from
paint, solvents or combustible liquids could
represent a danger spot.
Never expose the device to extreme tempera-
tures as this could lead to a risk of the built-in
battery exploding.
Never submerge in any liquids.
Only ever replace the lighting fitting and
rechargeable battery with ones of the same type.
Important!
The camping lamp comes with a maintenance-free
lead gel rechargeable battery. The rechargeable
battery must be fully charged before you use the
lamp for the first time!
Charge the battery using only the power supply unit
included in delivery. The charging time will be
approx. 12 hours. If it is not used for longer periods
the battery will run down. Recharge the battery fully
every three months, regardless of whether it is used
or not, otherwise there is a risk of damage to the
battery.
Caution!
Battery acid is aggressive. Should any acid
splash onto hands or clothing, wash off immediately
with soap solution. Should any acid splash into your
eyes, wash it out immediately with water (for 15
minutes) and seek the advice of a doctor.
Environmental protection
Please bear in mind that the packaging material,
used batteries or defective rechargeable batteries are
not allowed to be disposed of with normal domestic
waste. Always ensure that they are disposed of in
accordance with regulations.

4. Using for the first time:
4.1 Charging the lead gel rechargeable battery
(Caution! Switch off the device – Fig. 2 / Pos. 2)
4.1.1 Charging the camping lamp with the power
supply unit
1. Connect the power cable of the power supply unit
included in delivery to the charging jack on the
device (Fig. 1 / Pos. 1). The red LED will
illuminate.
2. Plug the power supply unit into a 230V ~ 50Hz
plug socket.
3. The time required for charging will be approx. 12
hours.
Caution! The unit does not switch off
automatically when fully charged!
4.1.2 Charging the camping lamp with a car
adapter lead
The camping lamp can also be charged using the car
cigarette lighter connector.
CAUTION:
Only charge the lamp while driving,
otherwise the car battery will be run down. Never
start the vehicle while the car adapter lead is
connected to the cigarette lighter connector. Always
detach the car adapter cable again as soon as
charging has been completed.
Plug the 12V connector of the car adapter lead
included in delivery into the car cigarette lighter
