System Menu
System Name
Sets the domain name of the Eicon 1550/1551. This is also the address of the home
page of the web-based configuration interface. The text ‘.wanrouter’ is appended to the
name you enter.
Range: 1-64 characters, no spaces. Default:
Eicon 1550
(‘eicon1550.wanrouter’) or
Eicon 1551
(‘Eicon1551.wanrouter), depending on the model.
Login Password
Defines the password that users need to specify when logging on. The password is
case-sensitive, which means ‘PASS’ and ‘pass’ are not the same.
Range: 0-11 characters, no spaces. Default: none (no password required to log in).
Repeat Login Password
For verification, repeat the password you entered in the ‘Login Password’ field. The
password will only be changed if both fields match.
Enable Remote Management
When enabled, allows remote computers to connect to the Eicon 1550/1551 and
access its configuration interfaces. A remote computer is considered to be any
computer that is not on the local LAN. It is strongly recommended that you define a
system password if you enable this option.
Note:
Disabling remote management results in the creation of two new IP filters that block outside traffic
from making HTTP or Telnet requests to the Eicon 1550/1551.
