Protocol Menu (VHSI Tree) > Dynamic DLCI Group
(Frame Relay)
These parameters are only available when the protocol is set to Frame Relay.
Enable Dynamic DLCI
Defines the DLCI mode.
Enabled: Enables dynamic configuration of new DLCIs for this connection. Dynamic
DLCI (also referred to as "DLCI discovery") eliminates the need for static configuration
of new DLCIs. All previously configured DLCIs for this connection are removed.
Dynamic DLCI is performed automatically by the Frame Relay Bearer Service, so you
do not have to configure a separate DLCI for each Permanent Virtual Circuit in your
Frame Relay network.
Disabled: Enables static configuration of new DLCIs for this connection. In this mode,
each DLCI must be defined manually.
Global window size
Defines the Frame Relay window size for all discovered DLCIs on a given Frame Relay
connection, which determines the number of packets that can be sent before waiting
for an acknowledgment. Only applicable if Dynamic DLCI is enabled. Used for
transmission buffer control.
Range: 1-255.
Default: 12.
