Your computers have fixed IP addresses:
In this case, you must change the Eicon
1550/1551’s IP address so that it corresponds to what is available on your network.
Otherwise, the Eicon 1550/1551 may not be accessible from the computers on your
LAN.
To change the LAN IP address:
1.
From the menu, click ‘LAN’. The Eicon 1550/1551 displays the LAN parameters
page.
2.
Modify the ‘IP address’ and ‘Subnet Mask’ settings to addresses appropriate for your
LAN.
3.
Click the ‘Save’ button.
4.
If you are using the Eicon 1550/1551 as a DHCP server, you may wish to modify the
range of IP addresses dynamically assigned to network devices by the Eicon
1550/1551. To do this, click the ‘+’ next to ‘IP’, click ‘DHCP’, modify the appropriate
fields, and click ‘Save’.
If this is not done, the Eicon 1550/1551 may assign an IP address that is not on the
same subnet as the LAN IP address, and the Eicon 1550/1551 will not be accessible
over the LAN. However, the external network may still function properly.
5.
Click the ‘Reset Device’ button.
Once the device is reset, you will most likely lose contact with the Eicon 1550/1551.
This is because you changed the LAN IP address of the device, and as your computer
is no longer on the same subnet as the Eicon 1550/1551, the device is no longer
accessible via a web browser. To remedy this, change your computer’s IP address
to be on the same subnet as the Eicon 1550/1551. If you are using the Eicon
1550/1551 as your DHCP server, force your computer to request a new IP address.
