Accepting remote control
The VC-50HD can be remotely controlled by a computer connected to its USB connector or by an
Edirol F-1 (version 2 or later) connected to its IEEE 1394 connector. Mode settings can be switched via
remote control. If you want the VC-50HD to accept remote control, make the following settings.

With this setting, the VC-50HD can receive remote control commands from a computer connected to
the USB connector.

ON
If the VC-50HD is set to accept remote control, its POWER screen will not operate. The power
will turn on/off in response to remote control from the external device, or when you disconnect
the power cable.
If mode select switch 6 is turned ON so that remote control will be received, the operation of the
other switches will be disabled.
Even if the VC-50HD is set to receive remote control, the power will not turn on automatically if
you’re using only the internal AA batteries as the power supply, with nothing connected to the
DC IN connector. Use the POWER switch to turn the power on/off.
