The VC-50HD’s conversion capabilities

The format of the input to the VC-50HD is detected automatically. The VC-50HD is capable of 
performing conversions in either direction (SDI to IEEE 1394 and IEEE 1394 to SDI). The formats that 
can be converted and output are shown below.

* The VC-50HD does not support up/down-conversion, I/P conversion, or frame rate conversion.

* If you select MPEG-2 TS as the IEEE 1394 output, and input SD-SDI, the bit rate will be approximately one 

quarter of what it is when HD-SDI is input.
