The synoptic panel
Enables the programming and management of the chimney
performances in order to obtain the desired temperature, to select
the functioning power (P1/P2/P3) and the heating air speed.
Primary air actuator
It doses the fuelling primary air inlet in the hearth according to the
power (P1/P2/P3) selected on the synoptic panel.
Thermocouple
Probe based on the fumes discharge which detects the temperature
of the same to consequently electronically adjust the power.
Fuelling air
The CRISTAL can only be mounted in rooms where there is sufficient air power
supply for fuelling.
Whenever the air volume results scarce and the type of building in which the
chimney is installed particularly air sealed, it will be necessary to install a
supplementary air inlet of 125 cm

.
- fuelling primary air
A
(fig.1 page 22) enters at the base of the surface
fire on the open coal. The amount of primary air is adjustable depending on the
draught of the flue through a mobile deflector (fig.3 page 22) installed on the
front of the hearth.
For a flue with a weak draught, it is possible to increase the inlet section of the
primary air and vice versa, decrease it in case of excessive draught.
- the fuelling secondary air
B
(fig.1 page 22) and glass cleaning enters
at the glass peak after having been heated. The amount of secondary and glass
cleaning air is pre-calibrated.
Air for the heating
Is obtained by using:
- a 800 m
3
/h fan - regulator - probe - connecting fitting to the external air inlet
with gate and wire control - two way fitting for conveyance of external air to the
shell.
Detailed information for the installation of the V-EWS forced
ventilation system is at page 28.
