If HR is not the default measurement, select HR from the touch screen.

Move the caliper to the first heartbeat. Press the

key to activate a second caliper.

Move the second caliper to position on the next beat.

key to complete HR measurement or press the
Switch
key to switch between
moving the first or second caliper.

The HR measurement tool can display the following result(the actual results shown will
depend on the preset):

RI
: The RI measurement can measure the PS and ED to calculate RI and S/D.
To use the RI measurement tool
:
1.
Invoke the Measure Function on a Doppler strip.
2.
If RI is not the default measurement, select RI from the touch screen.
3.
Move the caliper to position the PS point. Press the
Set
key to activate a second caliper.
4.
Move the second caliper to position the ED point.
5.
Press the
Set
key to complete RI measurement or press the
Switch
key to switch between
moving the first or second caliper.
6.
The RI measurement can display the following results (the actual results shown will
depend on the preset):
PS
ED
RI
S/D
7.3.1.3. M-mode Generic Measurements
The system supports the following types of generic M-mode measurements:
Caliper
HR (Heart Rate)
Caliper
: The Caliper measurement can provide a wide range of results.
To use the Caliper measurement:
1.
Invoke the Measure Function on an M-mode strip. A caliper measurement is automatically
invoked. It displays the Depth at the current location.
2.
Move the Caliper to the desired location.
3.
Press the
Set
key to place that caliper and add the second half of the caliper pair. Presses
of the
Switch
key toggle which side of the caliper can be moved. Pressing the
Set
key
completes the measurement and allows you to begin another measurement.
4.
The Caliper measurement can display the following results:
Distance
Time
Slope
