MAINTENANCE
This part includes that part of the maintenance that may only be carried out by EcoWater’s specialized
technicians. Incorrect and / or careless execution of these steps can lead to irreparable damage to the
membranes.
4.14 REPLACE MEMBRANES
1.
Turn off the reverse osmosis and pull the plug out of
the wall socket
2. Make sure the entire system is pressureless. Then disconnect the pipes at the entrance and the outlet
of the membranes.
3. Carefully remove the end caps.
4. Pull the membrane out of the membrane holder. You may also need to remove the end cap at the
bottom to be able to push against the membrane from below.
5. Insert the replacement membrane into the membrane holder. Make sure that the seal ring is located on
the feeding edge. If necessary, you can grease the seal ring with glycerin to ease the placement.
6. Check the O-rings on the end caps and replace them if necessary.
7. Grease the O-rings with glycerin and replace the end caps.
8. Reconnect all tubing and switch on the reverse osmosis.

protection.
B. Check the voltage on the engine
C. Check that the pump is not blocked.
2. Inlet solenoid does not close
A. A continuous low flow through the system can pollute the
valves. Repair or replace the input valve.
3. Pump pressure is lower than normal.
A. Check if pump is damaged
B. Drain flow is too high and must be reduced
C. Check for air in the pump.
D. Check if drain valve is working properly
4. Pump pressure is higher than normal
A. The membranes may be polluted. Make sure the pre-treat
ment is working properly. Repair what is needed and clean
membranes
B. If the membranes are slightly contaminated with lime, turn
