Operating Instructions High Capacity Water Heaters Models EHRE/EHPE & EDRE - ELC 11
2.4 Product description and
delivery content
the eCotHerM high capacity water
heater is designed for water heating in
large housing estates, hospitals, hotels,
sanatoriums, etc. all water carrying
components (tank, heat exchanger
and piping) are manufactured from
titanium stabilised chrome nickel
steel (1.4571) and suitable for potable
water. the tank conforms to federal
Health Ministry recommendations
and DVGW guidelines to avoid the
risk of Legionella infection (Technical
Specification, Work Sheet
W 551). The tank is charged via
an external tubular heat exchanger.
Hot water flowing through the heat
exchanger tubes is separated from
the primary heating circuit by the
tubes located inside the shell of the
heat exchanger.
Free floating rods in the heat
exchanger tubes create a 0.5 to 1.5
mm thick water film along the tube
walls, ensuring high speed turbulent
flow and optimum heat transfer. The
constantly oscillating rod prevents
lime scale deposits during charging
and ensure the self-cleaning effect.
a microprocessor controller controls
the charging operation and via a
control valve maintains constant hot
water temperature during charging.
a heating pump or a minimum
admission pressure of 0.6 bar is to be
provided by the customer.
the controller constantly provides
information on the system‘s
operational status by continuously
monitoring operation and performance
of the individual components (charging
condition, condition of heat exchanger
and fault alarm). The regulation is able
to communicate with external systems
via houseown networks or via internet
(recording, remote request, remote
influence).
