grounding instructions
The Echelon
®
Stride-7s must be grounded, if it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding
provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock� This
product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding
plug� The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances�
DANGER -
Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in risk of
electric shock� Check with a qualified electrician or service provider if you are in doubt as to
whether the equipment is properly grounded or installed on a dedicated line� Seek a qualified
electrician to perform any modifications to the cord or plug� Echelon is not responsible for
injuries or damages as a result of cord or plug modification�

Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded.
Do not modify the plug provided with the product. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
Do not remove the motor cover or you may risk injury due to electric shock. Have a certified technician perform
this maintenance.
Make sure the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adaptor should be
used with this product.
DO NOT USE an extension cord or ungrounded outlet.
Place cords away from heat (such as baseboards). Use care to arrange any cord so it does not become an obstacle or
damaged by the placement of the cord relative to the equipment.
Voltage required for your unit is located on the rating label located at the front of the treadmill�
