Setting the antenna
To ensure quality reception of radio broadcast in the FM bandwidth, it is necessary to extend the telescopic
antenna. You can improve the reception by changing the orientation of the antenna or of the device.
Listening to radio
1. Plug the device in or insert batteries.
2. Set
the
FUNCTION
switch to the
RADIO
position and press
STANDBY
1
to switch the device on.
3. Using
the
BAND
switch, select AM nebo FM bandwidth.
4. Turning the control
TUNING
tune in the desired station.
5. Set
the
VOLUME
control to desired level.
6. If you want to switch the device to standby mode, press
STANDBY
1
. The STANDBY indicator lights up.
7.
If you want to switch the device off entirely, move the
FUNCTION
switch in the
OFF
position. If the device
was in the standby mode, the indicator STANDBY light switches off after the device is switched off .
Notes:
•
To achieve optimum reception in the AM bandwidth, you can try to turn the device slightly or move it in
a place with better reception.
•
If you want to achieve optimum reception in the FM bandwidth, extend fully the FM antenna. Avoid
placing the device close to speaker sets or other electronic devices.
CD player
1. Plug the device in or insert batteries.
2. Open the door of the CD tray and insert the CD with the label up.
3. Close the tray door, set the
FUNCTION
switch to the CD position and press the
STANDBY
1
button to
switch the device on. The display shows “- --” for a few seconds and the it shows the total number of
tracks.
4. Press
u
to start CD playback.
5. By
pressing
.
/
>
buttons, you can skip to previous or next track.
6. Press and hold
.
/
>
buttons to fi nd quickly a specifi c location within the track.
7.
You can press the
u
button during CD playback to pause playing the disc and then continue playing
by pressing the button again.
8. Using
the
10+/
button, you can skip up to 10 tracks during CD playback within a given folder. If
you hold the button for more than 1 second, you skip to the next folder.
9. Press
the
x
button to stop the disc playback.
10. The CD player stops automatically after all the tracks are played.
11. If you want to switch the device to standby mode, press
STANDBY
1
. The STANDBY indicator lights up.
12. If you want to switch the device off entirely, move the
FUNCTION
switch in the
OFF
position. If the device
was in the standby mode, the indicator STANDBY light switches off after the device is switched off .
Notes:
•
Do not open the disc tray door if the disc is playing or if it is still turning.
• Press
the
x
button fi rst.
•
This device can play discs in the CD Audio and MP3 music formats.
•
IMPORTANT: When handling the discs, hold them always by the edges in order that you do not leave
fi ngerprints on their surface and do not smudge them. If that happens, clean the disc using special
cleaning cloth or cleaning set.
