To set parameters for a point, use the scroll bar to highlight a point. Then touch one of these buttons below the
panel:

Set High sets the upper bound on acceptable measurements
•
Set Low sets the lower bound on acceptable measurements
•
Calibration to calibrate the measurement
Clr TX
button clears the transfer counter on the
Home
page, resetting it to zero.

once to clear transfer counter since last
Clear TX
. This is the same as the
Clear
button on
Home
screen
Transfers
panel. The counter is stored in
Xfrs Since Clr
, a point in the Analog Points list.

a second time to clear the cumulative total transfers counter, stored in
Xfers Total
in the
Analog Points list.
Clr PK
clears the peak value measurement for each analog point. Each peak value will be immediately replaced
on the point’s next measurement.

All events are recorded in the
Event Log
, such changes of state in a point, a transfer, user login, or an alarm.
The Event Log has 512 entries.
Alarms are specific events listed on the
Alarms
screen and also recorded in the
Event Log
.
The STS also records input and output waveforms for selected events, such as transfers or outages that can be
viewed in the
Plots
screen.
In case of power loss, the STS can continue recording events for approximately 15 seconds, providing
diagnostic information.

An alarm is signaled when any monitored condition is out of normal specification. Active alarms are signaled in
several ways:

The
Home
screen shows Alarm status and gives an alarm count.
•
The Voice Unit of the STS states: “Static Switch, new alarm.”
•
A summary alarm can be signaled when any alarm occurs by one or more of these means:
–
Dry contact
–
SNMP trap
–
Email notification
–
Modem dial out
•
The
Alarms
screen lists a new alarm.
•
The
Event Log
screen adds an alarm.
•
The
Alarms
or
Log web
page shows a new alarm.
