9 Customisation
While every effort has been expended to make
the standard Sonix PA/GA system configuration,
this might not cover every requirement. To this end
customisation of the 2Mx, and any part of the Sonix
eco-system, should be discussed with your local Eaton
representative.
Certain features are considered as requiring
customisation by default.
9.1 IO audio and zoning
Currently the zoning for the Sonix Io unit is held within
the 2Mx firmware, please contact your local Eaton
representative to discuss options. This includes BGM
zoning.
9.2 Alarm Tones
Customisable alarm tones are possible, please contact
your local Eaton representative to discuss options.
Due to the way alarm tone audio is generated within
Sonix 350-d Amplifier, it is not possible to ‘mix’ multiple
tones simultaneously. Similarly, Sonix is not able to
provide volume adjustment to full volume alarm tones,
except by utilising attenuated alarm.
9.3 Important message over Alarm volume
The volume of Alarm Tone that is mixed into the
Emergency Speech broadcast is set to approximately
12dB lower than the normal Attenuated Alarm. This
value can be customised to one of the following: 1.1,
2.5, 4, 6, 8.5, 12 or 18dB.

Higher values limit the maximum level of Alarm Attenuate that
can be used before the volume difference is lost.
9.4 Program fault
The program fault, or minor fault, is a signal generated
from a sub-set of the available system faults and
transmitted out of the PA/GA system via the Sonix Io
unit.
The list of standard faults available is as follows:
•
Amp Line fault
