Ext DC Fail Reporting
This determines how the control unit monitors the DC supply input.
On
The DC supply is monitored. A loss of supply is reported according to
Ext DC Fail
Delay
, as described next.
Off
The DC supply is not monitored.
Ext DC Fail Delay
This option allows you to specify the length of time (0 to 60 minutes) that the control unit
must wait after detecting a DC supply failure before generating an alert tone and reporting
Ext DC Fail to the ARC.
As soon as the DC supply fails (and
Ext DC Fail Reporting
is enabled), the control unit
lights the red alert LEDs around the navigation key.
Note:
The control unit does not show
alerts while the system is set.
If
Ext DC Fail Delay
is set to 0, the control unit starts an alert tone nine seconds after the
power interruption. If
Ext DC Fail Delay
is set to 1-60 minutes, the control unit starts an
alert tone the specified number of minutes after the power interruption.
At the same time as the alert tone, the control unit communicates an Ext DC Fail to the
ARC and activates any outputs of type General Fault.
If power is restored before the alert tone, the control unit switches off the alert, logs Ext DC
Restore and sends no report to the ARC.
A user can silence the alert by entering a valid access code. The control unit displays
details of the alert. General Fault outputs remain active.
Once the DC supply is restored, the control unit logs Ext DC Restore. A user can reset the
alert and deactivate any General Fault outputs by pressing entering the access code
again.
Battery 2
This option enables or disables alert reporting for the optional second backup battery in
the control unit.
Enabled
The control unit starts an alert if battery 2 is missing or has low voltage.
Disabled
The control unit ignores the presence or absence of battery 2.
GSM Antenna
This option is visible only if a GSM plug-on module is fitted.
Internal
The module uses its built-in antenna.
External
The module uses an external antenna fitted to the underside of the PCB.
