Counter
Create a new counter variable. This will increment/decrement according to
the parameters set.
The following properties are available for editing:
Fixed Start
Check this box for the counter to start at the value set in the
Value property. If this box is not checked, the user will be prompted to enter
a start value.
Input
Use the drop down menu to choose a numerical system for the
input. The following numerical systems are available: Numeric, Hex, Alpha,
AlphaNumeric and Arabic.
Length
Define the maximum number of digits for the counter.
Name:
The name of the variable is entered here. Selecting the Name tab
will call up a keyboard with which to enter in the desired name.
Note:
No two variables can have the same name. If the name of an
already used variable is changed, the items in which the variable
is used must be manually updated.
Output
Use the drop down menu to choose a numerical system for the
output. The following numerical systems are available: Numeric, Hex,
Alpha, AlphaNumeric and Arabic.
Padding
use the drop down menu to choose between Leading Zeros or
Leading Spaces to fill spaces in the number string.
Prompt
Prompt the user to input a counter value before the printer can
start a job. When a job is to be started, a short message will appear on the
display which must be answered before the printer can start up. Selecting
Prompt opens a keyboard which is used to change the message. The
prompt will only appear if the Fixed Start check box is unchecked.
Repeat Count
Choose how many times a number is repeated.
Example:
If the number has been set to 1 the number sequence would be:
“1,2,3,4,5...”
If the number is set to 3 the number sequence would be:
“1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,3,4,4,4,5,5,5...”
