if swallowed. Keep batteries and articles out of the reach of 
children and animals. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical 
assistance immediately.

If a battery leaks, avoid 

physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protective gloves 
if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected area 
with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as 
soon as possible.

NOTE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

 

Do not use the article in rooms with elevated humidity, e.g. 
bathrooms.

Take batteries out of the article when they are dead or if the 
article is not going to be used for a prolonged period. This will 
prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

 

Batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other means, 
dismantled, thrown into a

 re, immersed in

 uids, or short-cir-

cuited.

 

Protect the article from: impacts, heat, direct sunlight, sub-zero 
temperatures, moisture and wet conditions.

 

Ensure that the article cannot come into contact with water!

 

Never clean the article with scouring sponges or scouring 
agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone. These 
can damage the surface. Just dust it down if necessary.

 

Do not place any containers

 lled with liquid, for example vas-

es, directly next to the article.

 

Do not make any changes to the article and do not attempt to 
repair it. In the event of any damage, please contact our cus-
tomer service department. The individual LEDs cannot be re-
placed.

Inserting / Changing Batteries

Insert two 1.5 V batteries, C, Baby type into the battery compart-
ment on the bottom of the lantern before you 

fi

 rst use it. These are 

not supplied with the article.
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts are 
clean and clean them if necessary.
1.  Open the battery compartment: Undo the screw on the battery 

compartment cover using a standard cross-head screwdriver. 
Pull up the cover.

2.  Insert two 1.5 V batteries of the C, Baby type into the battery 

compartment. Ensure the correct polarity  (+ / –).

3.  Place on the battery compartment cover. When you do this, 

make sure that the locking lugs sit in the recesses which are 
provided for them. Tighten the screw again.

Replace the batteries when the power of the lights starts to wane. 

PLEASE NOTE!

 Always replace all batteries together. Do not use 

batteries of different types or brands, or batteries with different 
capacities.
