Assembly
• Place the pruner with the motor onto an underlay.
• To mount the chain, loosen the fastening screws and remove the cover.
• Insert the saw chain into the slot of the chain bar. Pay attention to the direction in
which the chain runs; compare it with the symbol of the correct direction.
• Fit the chain links on the sprocket and position the bar in such way that the bar guide
that lies in front of the fastening bolts engages in the oblong hole of the bar.
• Hold or support the bar with the chain in a horizontal position.
• Insert the chain bar cover accurately and check whether the chain fastening bolts
match the pins on the housing.
• Tighten the fastening screw.
Tightening the saw chain
• Loosen fastening screws by rotating approx. 1-2 times.
• Turn chain tensioning screw clockwise until the correct chain tension has been
reached.
• The right tension is achieved if it is possible to bend the chain by about 3-4 mm in
the middle of the bar.
• Firmly tighten the fastening screws without exerting pressure.
• Check if all the chain links lie properly in the guide slot of the chain bar.
Chain lubrication
• The pruner is delivered without oil.
• The blade may never be placed in operation without oil or an oil level that is below
the minimum fill level.
• Unscrew the oil plug. Fill the oil tank with biodegradable chain oil.
• Avoid contamination of the oil tank.
• Never use recycled oil or used oil
Motor/chain brake
• Motor brake: Release the on / off switch on the handle, the saw chain is braked.
Working with the electric pruner
Before putting the saw into operation, check:
• Correct chain tension.
• Fill of the oil tank.
• Use protective gloves, protective clothing and a helmet with face protection.
• Turn on the saw.
