Maintenance
The blade should be regularly lubricated and oiled. Please make sure that the battery has
been removed before undertaking any maintenance work on the device.
Cleaning
Regularly clean the cover of the machine with a soft cloth, preferably after each use. Keep
the ventilation slits free of dust and dirt. If the dirt cannot be removed like this, use a soft
cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia
etc. These solvents can damage the plastic parts.
Working instructions
Before cutting, the hedge must be searched for hidden objects, e.g. wire fences.
•
In addition to hedges, a hedge clipper can also be used for cutting shrubs and bushes.
•
The hedge clipper is to be held sturdily with both hands.
•
The best cutting performance is achieved when the hedge clipper is managed in such
•
a way that the blade teeth are directed at an angle of approximately 15˙ from the
hedge (fi gure 1).
The double-sided cutting blades are counter rotating, providing a cut in both direc-
•
tions (fi gure 2).
In order to achieve an equable hedge height, running a string as guide line along the
•
hedge edge is recommended.
The side surfaces of the hedge are cut with arched movements from bottom to top
•
(fi gure 3).
