Safety instructions for rechargeable batteries and chargers
6.
Keep the charger away from rain or moisture.
a.
The penetration of moisture into an
electric device increases the risk of electric shock.
Only charge the batteries in chargers recommended by the manufacturer.
b.
Using
a charger that is intended for a certain kind of battery for any other kind of battery
can cause a fi re hazard.
Do not charge any third-party batteries.
c.
The charger is only intended for charging
the integrated battery with the voltage stated in the technical data. Otherwise there
is a risk of fi re and/or explosion.
Keep the charger clean.
d.
Contamination may cause an electric shock.
Prior to each use, check the charger, cables and plugs. Do not use the charger if
e.
it is apparently damaged. Do not open the charger yourself and have it repaired
with OEM parts only.
Damaged chargers, cables and plugs increase the risk of an
electric shock.
Never operate the charger on an easily fl ammable surface (e.g. paper, fabric,
f.
etc.) or in a fl ammable environment.
Danger of fi re due to the heating up of the
charger during the charge process.
When used improperly, liquid can emerge from the battery. Avoid any contact! In
g.
case of accidental contact, rinse with water. Should any liquid come into contact
with your eyes, consult a doctor.
Leaking battery fl uid can lead to skin irritations or
burns.
Do not open the rechargeable battery.
h.
Danger of short circuit.
Protect the rechargeable battery from heat, permanent solar radiation and fi re.
i.
Danger of explosion.
Do not short-circuit the battery.
j.
Keep any batteries that are not being used away
from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that could
cause a bridging of the contacts. A short-circuit between the battery contacts can
cause burns or fi re hazards.
Vapours may escape in case of damage and/or improper handling.
k.
Air the room
and consult a doctor in case of complaints. The vapours may irritate your respiratory
system.
Electrical safety
Always check if the battery voltage corresponds to that indicated on the
type plate. Also check if the mains voltage corresponds to the input coltage
of the battery charging device.
