We recommend that you keep one of your hands on the blending jug cover during the blending process. This
prevents strong vibration and reduces noise.

For safety reasons, do not fill the blending jug with only solid food or only ice cubes. When chopping ice, add
approximately a quarter of a cup of water to the ice, and only put one or two small-sized ice cubes into the
blending jug at a time. Chop ice by activating the pause switch "M” (2a) in short periods. When the ice
becomes pulp-like, chopping is finished.

Chop large sized ingredients into small pieces before putting them into the jug for blending.

Spices such as cloves, caraway seeds or dill may damage the plastic parts of the blending jug and we
recommended that you don't use these in the appliance. Some vegetables (for example carrots) include
natural colorants that may stain the plastic parts of the equipment. However this doesn't affect the usability
of the equipment.

Avoid over-blending the basic ingredients fed into the blending jug during use. Check the consistency of the
mixture during operation if necessary.

Avoid continuous operation or frequent periods of use, particularly if you are blending ingredients
with little liquid or if you are processing small quantities. Do not use the blender continuously for
more than 1 minute. Following 1-minute of use you must have a 10-minute standstill period. If
you exceed the maximum operation time, or do not keep the standstill period, the driving unit of
the equipment may get overloaded and damaged.

The blending jug maximum capacity is 1.5 l liquid.

In the case of diluted liquids (e.g. milk) reduce the

quantity so that the ingredients cannot splash out from the blending jug at the feeding aperture during
operation. Never fill more liquid into the blending jug than the maximum level mark on the side of the jug.

Do not use the blending jug for storage. Ingredients should not be stored in it before processing. After using
the blending jug, immediately empty the processed food from it.

Never pour hot liquid (over 60 °C) into the blending jug.

Never remove the jug cover whilst operating this appliance, and never put your hand or any
other tool into the jug.

Never operate the equipment with an empty blender attachment.

When turning off the blender, pay particular attention to the blending knife being at a complete standstill
before removing the blending jug from the engine unit. If you fail to do this, the plastic/rubber clutch
element of the blending jug connecting to the engine unit may get damaged.

Use of soya milk press insert

1. It is easy to place the soya milk press insert into the blender jug. You must pull the insert onto the blender

knife by its thicker end with the filter. In all cases check the insert has been fitted properly. Improper fitting
may cause the blending knife to get stuck and hence may damage both the insert and the knife.

2. Soak the soya beans in water for 4-8 hours before processing. The maximum quantity of soya beans that you

can process in one go is a maximum of 150 g with 500 ml of water.

3.  Mount the blending attachment onto the engine unit as follows:

a) Place the blending jug (5c) onto the engine unit (1) and make sure it is properly

fitted. Place the blending jug in such a way that when you look at the equipment
from the front (with the buttons facing you as illustrated in the picture,) the handle of
the jug should be positioned to the left. Turn the jug horizontally anti-clockwise until
the locking shoulders of the jug click into place with the seat of the engine unit. Check
that the jug is properly fixed to the engine unit.

b) Place blending jug cover (5b) onto the blending jug (5c). The shoulders of the cover

must be positioned right from the measuring scale of the blending jug. Following
this, secure the blending jug with one hand so that it doesn't move, and then turn the
cover clockwise to fit the locking shoulders into the press-studs above the measuring
scale.

c) Place the feeding aperture cap into the feeding aperture of the cover. Next secure the

jug so that it can't turn around, and turn the closing cap clockwise.

You may only place the blender attachment (5) onto the engine unit (1) in the correct operating
position. Due to a security switch, the appliance may only be operated if the jug is properly placed.
If the blending jug or cover should get stuck during placing, do not force them while rotating as
this may damage the locking shoulders or press-studs of the jug.

4.  Now turn on the equipment by pressing speed buttons 1 or 2 (2c, 2d). While operating the appliance, always

secure the blending jug onto the engine unit with one hand to reduce vibration. The equipment may be
operated using both speed switches (2c, 2d) and the pause switch "M” (2a). The equipment operates at low
speed at speed setting 1, and at high speed at speed setting 2.

5.  If you wish to stop using the equipment, turn it off by using the off button marked by "0” (2e). Next unplug

the connection from the mains electricity supply. Detach and remove the blending jug from the engine unit
and pour out the prepared mixture from the jug after removing the cover.

Useful advice

We recommend setting the speed switch at the high speed for preparing purees, soups, pastes, and
mayonnaise.

Prepare mixtures of light consistency such as foams, milky mixtures, sauces etc. at the low speed.

We recommend using the pause switch position if you wish to achieve an intermittent mixing effect.

When preparing mayonnaise, you can add cooking oil through the aperture of the blending jug cover whilst
the appliance is in operation, Similarly when preparing a mixture, you can add further ingredients to the
basic materials through the aperture. However, during operation you must not pour other liquids into the
blending jug through the feeding aperture, and you must not place any other tool into the jug. When you
remove the closing cap of the feeding aperture, make sure no liquid splashes out. Switch to the low speed if
necessary in order to avoid this. After adding the ingredients through the feeding aperture, move the closing
cap back into place.
