Installing your car stereo

Oldsmobile

Cutlass Supreme 1984-1988

To install your car stereo:

1

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit.

2

Remove the cigarette lighter and radio knobs, then unsnap the radio trim bezel.

3

Remove the one screw from the right side of the ashtray housing.

4

Remove the hardware that secures the factory mounting brackets to the factory head 
unit. Remove and retain the brackets.

5

Go to “Completing the installation” on page 76.
